في زاوية «أسرار الألهة»، نشرت جريدة النهار، في نسختها الورقية المخصصة للبنان، الثلاثاء في 6 آب 2024، ما يلي:
«يتخوف لبنانيون يتركون منازلهم خوفاً من وقوع حرب بين إسرائيل وحزب الله، من تعرض أملاكهم للسرقات خصوصاً في ظل تزايد أعداد النازحين السوريين الذين هربوا من القرى المحاذية للشريط الحدودي إلى قرى جنوبية وأخرى بقاعية صارت تعج بالنازحين».
في ذلك، تتهم جريدة النهار السوريين/ات مسبقاً بالسرقة، لمجرد أنهم سوريون/ات، في موقف عنصري وتحريضي واضح.
كما تعدل جغرافية تهمة سبق أن أتهم سوريين/ات بها منذ بدء العدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان. فالخطر الآن لا يقتصر على سوريين/ات بقيوا في أماكن سكنهم/ن الأولى، في قرى حدودية، بل يتسع ليشمل أولئك الذين نزحوا مع لبنانيين/ات إلى بلدات أخرى، يُعتقد أنها ستكون أكثر أمناً.
An-Nahar newspaper incites against Syrians fleeing the south
In the “Secrets of the Gods” column, the newspaper “An-Nahar” published, in its printed edition dedicated to Lebanon, on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the following:
“Lebanese people leaving their homes due to fears of a potential war between Israel and Hezbollah are worried about their properties being stolen, especially as the number of Syrian refugees fleeing from border villages to southern and Bekaa Valley villages, which are now overcrowded with displaced persons.”
In this, the newspaper “An-Nahar” preemptively accuses Syrians of theft simply due to their nationality, which clearly demonstrates discrimination and incitement.
The scope of the accusations against Syrians since the onset of Israeli aggression on Lebanon is evolving. The threat now affects not only Syrians who stayed in their original border villages but also those who, alongside Lebanese, have been displaced to other towns thought to be safer.
