هذه مقتطفات من رسالة بشأن «النزوح»، كتبها المفتي أحمد قبلان ونُشرت في 9 أيار 2024. وفيها، يحرض بعنصرية ضد السوريين/ات في لبنان.
«أيها اللبنانيون أفراداً وقوى وقيادات دينية ووطنية: تعلمون أن قضية النزوح قضية حياة أو موت، (…) وأي خطأ في هذا المجال يضعنا في قلب أزمة وطنية وإنسانية خطيرة، والقضية ليست قضية يد عاملة بمقدار ما هي كارثة ديموغرافية وكوابيس جنائية وموجة فظاعات وقتل وفلتان اجتماعي وفوضى وتهديد مهني واقتصادي ومجاميع إنهاكية للبنى التحتية والخدمية وسط أزمة اقتصادية تنخر أعمدة وجود لبنان.
«(…) واليوم النزوح يجتاح كل المهن وكوارثه بادية بكل متر من الأرض اللبنانية وهو يمارس دوره الفوضوي بطريقة خطيرة ويضع البلد كله في خطر وجودي داهم، وهو يقضي بشدة على اليد اللبنانية العاملة وسط بلد لا يمكنه الخروج من مأزق الفقر الشامل.
«(…) لا يجوز أن نكون ضعفاء في قضية تهدد أصل وجود لبنان، والضرورة الوطنية تقضي ببدء تنظيم الخلاص من النزوح ومباشرته فوراً. (…) وقضية الترحيل يجب أن تكون على رأس القائمة والسكوت عن الفظاعات التي يرتكبها النزوح يهدد أصل وجود لبنان».
The Mufti Ahmad Qabalan: A Message on Incitement and Racism
These are excerpts from a message regarding ‘displacement,’ written by Mufti Ahmad Qabalan and published on May 9, 2024. In it, he incites racism against Syrians in Lebanon.
“O Lebanese individuals, forces, religious and national leaders: You know that the issue of displacement is a matter of life or death, (…) Any mistake in this field puts us in the heart of a serious national and humanitarian crisis. The issue is not just a matter of a working hand, but rather a demographic catastrophe, criminal nightmares, a wave of atrocities, murders, social upheaval, chaos, professional and economic threats, and exhaustive groups undermining infrastructure and services amid an economic crisis eroding the pillars of Lebanon’s existence.
“(…) And today, displacement is sweeping all professions, with its disasters evident in every meter of Lebanese land. It is playing its chaotic role in a dangerous manner, putting the entire country at imminent existential risk. It is severely undermining the Lebanese working hand amid a country unable to escape the quagmire of comprehensive poverty.
“(…) It is not permissible for us to be weak when it comes to an issue that threatens the very existence of Lebanon. National necessity dictates that we begin organizing the solution to displacement and commence it immediately. (…) The issue of repatriation must be at the top of the agenda, and silence about the atrocities committed by displacement threatens Lebanon’s very existence”.
