في 29 حزيران 2023، منع منتجع D Circle، في الدامور، محجبة من الدخول إليه برفقة ابنها، بذريعة عدم استقباله محجبات.

ووفق ما قالت السيدة زينة الزين، في فيديو نشرته على صفحتها في انستغرام، فإن أحد العاملين في الاستقبال بلّغها هذا القرار، مؤكداً لها أن دخول المحجبات كلهن ممنوع، وليس الهدف منعهن من السباحة فحسب. والإجراءان، بطبيعة الحال، مهينان ويستندان إلى تمييز إقصائي أحمق.

هذا القرار يشابه قرارات أخرى غير قانونية تصدرها منتجعات عديدة، خلال هذه الفترة من السنة، تميّز ضد المحجبات والعاملات الأجنبيات.

D Circle in Damour denies entry to Hijabi women 

On June 29, 2023, D Circle resort in Damour denied entry to a hijabi woman and her son under the pretext that hijabi women were not permitted. In a video that was uploaded to her Instagram page, Ms. Zeina Al-Zein claimed that one of the receptionists informed her of this decision and assured her that it is not just intended to prevent them (hijabis) from swimming but from entering the facility in the first place.

Both measures are obviously degrading and revolve around exclusionary and illogical discrimination.

This decision is similar to other unlawful ones made by numerous resorts during this time of the year that discriminate against hijabi women and foreign workers.
