أن يتحول مخرج سينمائي إلى ممثل مسرحي، ليس وحده المثير للاهتمام في مسرحية «صار وقت الحكي»، التي بدأ عرضها في 15 حزيران 2023 على مسرح مونو في الجميزة، وهي من تأليف وتمثيل فيليب عرقتنجي، وإخراج لينا أبيض. بل إن المثير للاهتمام، أكثر، أن تكون البنوك، التي نهبت أموال اللبنانيين/ات، شريكاً رئيسياً في هذا العمل. وتحديداً: بنك بيمو وبلوم بنك (عبر شركة آروب للتأمين التابعة له).
هكذا، يتيح عرقتنجي، وهو منتج هذا العمل أيضاً (عبر شركته فانتاسكوب) بالشراكة مع شركة MFG (ميشال فنيانوس عرقتنجي)، للبنوك بتبييض صورتها مجدداً وبكل وقاحة عبر الفنون. كأنه، بطريقة أو أخرى، يريد أن يطرح مسائل مثل الذاكرة والهوية واللغة، على حساب أموال المودعين/ات المنهوبة.
عرقتنجي، الذي أخرج سلسلة بعنوان «قصة ثورة»، عام 2020، يبدو كمتصيد للحظات تماماً. ولحظته الآن: الغفران للبنوك جرائمها، بالنهب وإساءة الأمانة، من دون أي مساءلة أو عقاب. وهو، في كل الأحوال، كان متعهداً عبر شركته (وفق موقعها الإلكتروني)، قبل العام 2019، الترويج لعدد لا بأس به منها، مثل بلوم بنك وفرنسبنك والبنك اللبناني الفرنسي، وحتى مصرف لبنان (وهذه ليست مسألة قليلة الشأن طبعاً). كما ساهمت الشركة نفسها بالترويج لسد بسري عام 2018.

Philippe Aractingi opens the doors of the theater for banks
The play “Sar Waet elHake” (Written and starred by Philippe Aractingi, and directed by Lina Abyad), which debuted on June 15, 2023 at Le Monnot Theatre in Gemmayzeh, features more intriguing aspects than just a film director who turns into a theatrical actor. What’s more interesting is the fact that the banks, who robbed the Lebanese of their money, are key collaborators on this project. Particularly, Banque Bemo and Blom Bank (via its Arope Insurance Company).
Aractingi, who also produced this piece in collaboration with MFG (Michel Fenianos Aractingi) through his company Fantascope, enables banks to once more use art to brazenly whitewash their reputation. As if, in some way, he wants to bring up issues like the memory, the identity, and the language at the expense of the depositors’ stolen funds.
Aractingi, who directed the 2020 series “The Story of a Revolution,” seems to be a perfect capturer of moments. And his moment now is to overlook all crimes committed by banks, like theft and breach of trust, without any accountability or punishment. In any case, it seems like he was devoted to promoting a number of banks through his company (according to its website) before the year 2019, like Blom Bank, Fransabank, Banque Libano-Française, and even Banque du Liban (which is obviously a big deal).
Additionally, this same company contributed to advertising the Bisri Dam Project in 2018.
Once more: “From today onwards, there is no place for gangster bankers in the art and culture community” (quoted from a post published in 2020 to workers in art and culture).
