في مقابلة تلفزيونية مخصصة للتطبيل لجهاز ترهيب اللاجئين/ات السوريين/ات (المعروف بأمن الدولة)، اعتبر المحاور داني حداد، خلال محاولته نفخ إنجازات الجهاز الأمنية، أن وجود اللاجئين/ات يعد بحد ذاته سبباً لارتفاع معدل الجرائم في لبنان، وإن كان يستغرب عدم ازدياده بما يتناسب مع هذه «الظروف الموضوعية» التي عددها.

في هذه المقابلة، كان الضيف هو جورج حرب (مستشار المدير العام لأمن الدولة)، الذي بلّغ المشاهدين/ات بفخر أن 70 في المئة من جهود جهازه تصب في اتجاه ضبط اللاجئين/ات. ما يعني أن التعسف والسلبطة صار لهما نسبة مئوية محددة الآن.

In an interview devoted to praising the institution that terrorizes Syrian refugees (ie the State Security), Dany Haddad, implied, in an attempt to magnify the accomplishments of the security institutions, that the presence of refugees in Lebanon, is itself a reason for the high rate of crimes. However, the lack of increase in this rate in line with the “objective factors” that he had listed, surprises him. 

In this interview, the guest was George Harb (adviser to the Director General of State Security), who bragged that 70% of his institution’s efforts go towards disciplining the refugees. It’s fair to say that now, the arbitrariness and the intimidation, can be measured.
