لئن كانت إل بي سي مقتنعة أن حصة اللاجئين/ات السوريين/ات في الانهيار مماثلة لحصة الفساد، أرسلت المحقق كونان إلى مخيم في قب الياس ليلاحق أسلاك الكهرباء ويؤكد استنتاجاً مقرراً سلفاً أن السوريين/ات لا يدفعون مقابل ما يستهلكونه من كهرباء. فبثت تقريراً في نشرتها الإخبارية المسائية (29 نيسان 2023) عنوانه «الكهرباء للنازحين السوريين ببلاش وللبنانيين الذين يدفعون بفواتير مليونية»، يحفل بانعدام المهنية والتضليل والتحريض المتعمدين.

في اليوم التالي، وفي النشرة المسائية أيضاً، كان لا بد من ترقيع هذه البلاهة التعميمية. فظهرت فجأة في تقرير جديد العدادات في مخيم للاجئين/ات، واكتشفنا أنهم/ن يدفعون الفواتير حين تكون هذه الخدمة مع تجهيزاتها مؤمنة لهم/ن، في جبل لبنان وبيروت والبقاع والشمال وإلى آخره. ويمكن للمشاهد/ة، أن يستنتج (إذا شاء ورغماً عن إرادة التلفزيون) أن اللاجئين/ات ليسوا/ن سبب انهيار هذا القطاع. 

While the LBC was certain that the share of the Syrian refugees in the collapse was similar to the share of the corruption, it sent the detective Conan to a camp in Qab Elias, to track down the electricity wires and confirm a predetermined conclusion that the Syrians do not pay for the electricity they consume. It broadcasted a report filled with unprofessionalism, deception, and deliberate incitement, in its evening news bulletin (April 29, 2023) titled “Free Electricity for the Displaced Syrians and the Lebanese Pay Bills of Millions for it”.

The next day, however, during the evening news bulletin as well, this idiocy of generalization had to be patched up. Unexpectedly, in a new report, the counters emerged in a refugee camp, and it was uncovered that the Syrians actually pay the bills when this service with its equipment is secured for them, in Mount Lebanon, Beirut, the Bekaa, the North, and so on. The viewer can conclude (if he desires and against the will of the TV) that the refugees are not the reason for the collapse of this sector.
