في 2 أيار الحالي، لم تتمكن آلاء الزهوري من إعادة تفعيل شريحة رقم هاتفها، في مركز شركة تاتش في شتورة، لأنها سورية الجنسية ورغم امتلاكها باسبوراً وإقامة سارية المفعول.
ووفق ما روت الزهوري لـ«أخبار الساحة»، فإن موظف الشركة رفض بلؤم واستفزاز تنفيذ طلبها لأنها تملك «إقامة مؤقتة» لا «إقامة دائمة». وعندما استفسرت منه أكثر عن معنى هذه «الإقامة الدائمة»، قال إنها يجب أن «تكون لبنانية أو أن تأتي بلبناني ليستعيد لها خطها، أو أن تكون متزوجة من لبناني ولديها إقامة مجاملة، هذا قرار جديد بدأ تطبيقه».
هذا القرار الغامض والمريب، الذي يبدو أن شركة تاتش أصدرته مؤخراً، وفق ما صرح مصدر إداري من الشركة لتقرير نشرته منظمة «سمكس»، في 3 أيار، يعني منع غالبية السوريين/ات (على الأقل) في لبنان، إن كان لديهم/ن إقامات من الأمن العام أم لا، من الحصول على خطوط هاتفية.
ولا يمكن فهمه إلا باعتباره قراراً تمييزياً عنصرياً يفرض مزيداً من التضييق على السوريين/ات، انسجاماً مع الحملات التحريضية ضدهم/ن في الأسابيع الأخيرة، واستكمالاً لمسعى أجهزة الأمن في حرمانهم/ن من التواصل بمصادرة أجهزة الراوتر على نحو دوري من المخيمات.
“Touch” company joins the campaign to torment the Syrians in Lebanon
On the 2nd of May, Alaa Al-Zouhoury was unable to reactivate her phone number’s sim card at “Touch” Center in Chtoura, just because she is Syrian and despite having a valid passport and a legal residency permit.
According to what Al-Zouhoury told “Akhbar al-Saha”, the employee at the company refused to execute her request, with all stinginess and provocation, because the residency permit that she holds is “temporary” and not “permanent”. When she inquired more about what a “permanent residency” means, he said that “she must be Lebanese or come along with a Lebanese person to get her sim card back. Or she can be married to a Lebanese man and hence hold a courtesy residency. This is a new decision that is starting to be implemented.”
This mysterious and suspicious decision, which Touch seems to have issued recently, according to what an administrative source from the company declared to a report published by the “SMEX” organization on the 3rd of May, means that the majority of Syrians (at least) in Lebanon will be banned, even if they have legal residency from the general security or not, from accessing telephone lines. It can only be comprehended as a racially and discriminatory decision that forces further restrictions on Syrians, in accordance with the incitement campaigns against them during these recent weeks, and only as keeping up with the efforts of the security services to inhibit them from communication by frequently confiscating routers from the camps.
