اللاجئون/ات في حرب القوات والتيار

هناك أسباب كثيرة، لا يمكن حصرها، للموجة التحريضية الأخيرة ضد اللاجئين/ات السوريين/ات في لبنان. 

وإذا كان التيار الوطني الحر سباقٌ دائماً في استهدافهم/ن، منذ سنوات، فإن القوات اللبنانية، وأقله في مواقفها الحزبية المعلنة، التحقت به متأخرة. 

لا يمكننا في ظل ما يشبه «انتفاضة» المحافظين والبلديات هذه الأيام، إلا أن نضع ذلك في سياق التنافس على الانتخابات البلدية، المحتمل حصولها في شهر أيار المقبل. والحزبان لا تنقصهما الحقارة، بالتأكيد، ليضعا أرواح أياً كان على مائدة صراعهما. والحال أن التحشيد ضد السوريين/ات، لا يكلفهما شيئاً تقريباً. قليل من الكلام، فحسب.

There are many countless reasons for the latest wave of incitement against the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

And if the Free Patriotic Movement has always been the uppermost in targeting them since years ago, the Lebanese Forces has recently followed the track, at least in their publicized partisan stances. 

In light of what looks like an “uprising” of the governors and municipalities nowadays, we can’t but put all that in the context of competition for the municipal elections that is likely to take place next May. And the two parties certainly have enough despicableness to put the lives of whoever is at the table of their struggles. After all, mobilizing against the Syrians costs them almost nothing, only a few words.
