حتى بعد صدور حكم محكمة الجنايات الفرنسية، يوم الجمعة الماضي، بحق المغتصب سعد لمجرد، لم يتوان عدد من الصحافيين/ات والفنانين/ات اللبنانيين/ات عن دعمه والدفاع عنه وتبرير جريمته، لا بل حمّل بعضهم/ن ضحيته (ضحاياه) مسؤولية خروجه عن صورته، «النقية»، في رؤوسهم/ن. وهذا ما لا يدعو للعجب ولا الاستغراب. فطوال السنوات الماضية، كان لمجرد مع كل جريمة يرتكبها يجد من يتولى تلميع صورته، لأسباب شتى، بأساليب لا يمكن لوصفها بالحقارة أن يوفيها حقها. نعرض هنا بعضاً من هذه المواقف.

Even after the French Criminal Court’s verdict was issued, last Friday, against the rapist Saad Lamjarred, numerous Lebanese journalists and artists did not even hesitate to show support towards him, to defend him, and to justify his crime. Some even held the responsiblity for what he did and for the distortion of the “pure” image envisioned in their minds, to his victim (victims). This is not even surprising, but rather predictable. Over the past years, with every crime that he had committed, he found someone that polished his image, for various reasons, in extremely despicable ways, to say the least.
Here we present some of these situations.
